The new music festival "VOICES 2026," bringing together Mandopop's creative voices, lands at Taipei's Dajia Riverside Park October 3–4! After its first two waves revealed dream lineups including Leah Dou, Crowd Lu, Aimee Chou, and Zhou De, the festival drops its third lineup wave today (8/27): trend-setting vocalist Karencici, Hong Kong's legendary band RubberBand, breakout singer-songwriter Nono, Golden Melody queen Enno Cheng, popular act icyball, long-dormant Taiwanese Britpop pioneers 1976, and rising band Awkward. Curator Oliver says: "This wave brings together seven artists from completely different stages, cities, and creative languages within Mandarin independent music."

Karencici and RubberBand bring a cross-strait wave of style

Chinese-American trend-setter Karencici crafts fashionable R&B and electronic-infused music with a distinctive, delicate voice beloved by young listeners. Hong Kong's celebrated independent band RubberBand covers everything from social commentary to personal emotion, having captured the spirit of Hong Kong with "Song of Our Times" and won Best Original Film Score and Best Original Film Song at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

Nono and Enno Cheng show off contemporary female power, 1976 revisits Britpop youth

Breakout artist Nono, who has generated massive buzz in recent years, shows off wide-ranging rock, electronic, and experimental styles on debut album "No, No!" — this marks her first public Taiwan performance. Golden Melody queen Enno Cheng won Best Taiwanese Female Vocalist and Best Taiwanese Album for "Mercury Retrograde." Taiwanese Britpop pioneers 1976, whose influence has shaped countless independent bands since forming, return to the big stage to lead a cross-generational crowd through the most romantic, passionate memories of youth.

icyball turns Dajia Riverside into a dance hall, rising band Awkward brings raw voice

icyball's recent shows at Taipei Music Center have sold out instantly; blending 70s–80s funk, disco, and modern pop into a distinctive sound, they'll turn Dajia Riverside Park into one big dance hall. Rising band Awkward fuses alternative rock with contemporary youth observations, having just swept the "Creative Grand Prize" and "Best Lyricist" at this year's 43rd NCCU Golden Melody Student Awards, with their debut album dropping this October.

"VOICES" was founded by three close friends — Chen Chien-chi, Han Li-kang, and Oliver — aiming to erase the line between mainstream and independent music. Early-bird two-day tickets have sold out completely; presale two-day and single-day tickets are now on limited sale via KKTIX.
