Wendy Wander's new album "The House Of" is out — listening party reveals surprise 2027 concert

Popular band Wendy Wander releases their third album, "The House Of," on September 24. Ahead of the release, the band held a lead-up listening party, "The Entrance," at Taipei SUB — tickets sold out long before the show, packing the venue. The band brought in designer Aaron Nieh as creative director for the rollout, with Nieh building a physical installation for the show: a giant curtain bearing "The Entrance" key visual, which the audience passed through into a bubble-filled neon space.

New track's spacey sound carries listeners across dimensions; Quincy Lee declines Wendy Wander's offer to be their "big brother"
Wendy Wander opened with new track "Finding Traces of You," its spacey synth tones seeming to carry the whole crowd from SUB into an unknown dimension, followed by rarely-performed tracks "Effie," "Yes Today," and "A Gust of Wind," each arranged to deliver a different feeling.
The show was woven through with four documentary segments, following the band's process making the new album up close and candidly revealing their offstage lives full of contrast: vocalist Zengni, who looks quiet and reserved, turns out to love old cars — her first car was a flashy, modified 30-year-old ride; guitarist Weixiang shared, touched, about a guitar model a fan made for him; and keyboardist Yaoru tried to claim "Secret" producer Quincy Lee as an honorary "big brother," only for Lee to shoot it down on the spot — "I'm not claiming that!" — to the crowd's delight.

An unguarded look at the band's deep bond
The documentary footage genuinely captured how the band communicates and gets along. Zengni joked that whenever Jiang Yang, Yaoru, and Weixiang argue, "I just sit there as the popcorn-eating bystander," and happily pointed out a hole in the practice room wall — "that's from guitarist Weixiang punching it in anger once." Though vocalist Jiang Yang has considered leaving the band more than once under pressure over the years, he says, "I love this band too much. The reason I keep making music with them is because I love this group of people." Drummer A-Rui added, touched: "It takes all five of us to become who we are now — swap out one person and it isn't Wendy Wander anymore."
A surprise reveal: their first major concert at Taipei Music Center in 2027
Watching fans sing along with tears in their eyes, the band reflected: "Before every show we feel so exhausted, but seeing our songs actually move the audience makes it all feel worth it." As the show closed, Wendy Wander surprised everyone by announcing their third album, "The House Of," would release globally on digital platforms September 24 and physically September 30 — and dropped an even bigger surprise: the band's first major concert, set for March 27, 2027, at Taipei Music Center.

Wendy Wander's third album, "The House Of," is out now globally on digital platforms as of September 24, with the physical release following September 30. Their first major concert takes place Saturday, March 27, 2027, at Taipei Music Center — ticketing information to be announced on Wendy Wander's official social channels.
